The Team
We, Zeliha, Aaron and Tim, will represent the University of Marburg at the 28th Vis Moot Court. We are striving to follow in the footsteps and especially successes of former teams from the University of Marburg. Additionally, we hope to meet interesting practitioners as well as like-minded students at pre-moots and especially at the finals in Vienna!
Zeliha Ince, 19 years old, is in her third semester and will be a part of this year’s Vis Moot team at the University of Marburg. In a student exchange program, she gathered her first international experience in England while improving her language skills. Before starting her law studies she deepened her English skills by spending time also in Singapore. Besides English, Zeliha speaks German and Turkish fluently. She is particularly excited about participating in the 28th Vis Moot Court because of her desire to gain valuable experience in the field of international dispute settlement and commercial law. In her spare time, she enjoys painting pictures and loves travelling and experiencing new cultures.
Aaron König, 19 years old, is in his third semester of studying law at the University of Marburg. Prior to his studies, he attended debating tournaments for high school and university students, which sparked his passion for argumentation and debates. His participation in the Nuremberg Moot Court for international criminal law, through which he gained first mooting experience, created his wish to go even deeper into working internationally. In his free time, he enjoys doing sports, playing chess and reading. By taking part in the Vis Moot, he is eager to learn more about arbitration and to gain practical experience in law. He is excited to meet the Moot Court´s international community and cannot wait to plead in Vienna.
Tim Traulsen, 22 years old, will be in his sixth semester of law at the University of Marburg whilst participating in the 28th Willem C. Vis Moot Court. In his first semester, he participated in the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition where he discovered a desire for international commercial relationships, their legal components and connected dispute resolution. Tim has already completed a course to become a certified mediator, for which he received a scholarship. Besides his legal studies, he currently works as a student assistant at the chair for the civil procedure of Prof. Wolfgang Voit at the University of Marburg. Having built a foundation of his skills in legal drafting and oral arguments in the 2019 Nuremberg Moot Court, Tim is now looking to further improve these skills by participating in the Vis Moot.
