Our working group focuses on the following research interests:
- Diagnostics, Course & Dynamic Change of Psychopathological Processes (e.g., Which psychopathological processes affect which patients regarding their psychological symptoms? Which interventions are most promising for whom?)
- Expectations, Expectation Updating & Placebo (e.g., How do expectations influence the development, course, and treatment of mental disorders?)
- Psychosomatics & Behavioral Medicine (e.g., What influence do psychological processes have on the experience of stress due to chronic pain, tinnitus, cardiovascular diseases, or cancer?)
- Depression & Anxiety Disorders (e.g., How can the heterogeneity in the social experience and behavior of individuals with depression be explained? How can symptoms from the depression and anxiety spectrum be better described or formalized?)
