01.04.2024 The Collaborative Research Center "Dynamics of Security" welcomes visiting fellow Manuel May Castillo

The CRC “Dynamics of Security” welcomes Dr.Manuel May who will be a Visiting Fellow from April to October 2024. Manuel May is an Indigenous scholar from Yucatan, Mexico, holding a PhD in Architectural Heritage from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. His research focuses on the intersection of heritage, archaeology, and sociocultural anthropology. Manuel's contributions include presentations and lectures at universities and museums across Europe and the Americas, as well as active participation in UN forums on Indigenous issues. At the CRC 'Dynamics of Security,' he delves deeper into the reinterpretation of security by Indigenous Peoples within local realities.
