Eligibility assessment process - Abenteuer- und Erlebnispädagogik / Adventure and Experiential Education (M.A.)
Documents to be submitted
The following documents and certifications are required for participation in the eligibility assessment process:
- Application for admission (online application of the online application portal)
- The first, fundamental university degree with final grade.
- In addition:
- Certification of a first professionally qualifying university degree (see above).
- Certification of skills in the English language at Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe
- Certification of health examination for sports capability and physical capacity (medical clearance).
- Tabular resume of one DIN A4 page
- 2 DIN A4 page letter in which the applicant presents their discipline-related and personal suitability in reference to the criteria stated below
- Proof of practical experience relevant to the course of study, if available; e.g. internships in the pedagogical field, voluntary or professional activities in fields relevant to the course of study, qualifications in nature movement practices, stays abroad as part of previous studies, student activities, course-specific preparation (outdoor first aid, lifeguard certificate), additional foreign language skills (language level B2).
Criteria for personal disciplinary suitability
- Subject-related aptitude and practical experience relevant to the degree program are determined on the basis of the criteria and evidence listed below. The criteria are each assigned aptitude points, which are allocated to the applicants. A total of up to 100 aptitude points can be achieved in the aptitude assessment procedure.
- Up to 55 suitability points are assigned for the final grade point average according to the following key:
Grade points 0.7 to 1.1 => 55 points
Grade points 1.2 to 1.3 => 50 points
Grade points 1.4 to 1.5 => 45 points
Grade points 1.6 to 1.7 => 40 points
Grade points 1.8 to 1.9 => 35 points
Grade points 2.0 to 3.0 => 30 points

- Up to 30 points will be awarded for program-related practical experience for the Master’s program in Abenteuer- und Erlebnispädagogik based on the certifications indicated under 1.6)
- Up to 15 eligibility points will be awarded for the letter and resume according to 1.4 and 1.5. This will be used to obtain an overall impression of the applicant.
An evaluation of the degree of suitability with a total of at least 70 points is prerequisite for admission to the program.
