Julius Rabba, 21 years old, studies law at the University of Marburg in his third semester. As a member of the team for the 19th ICC Mediation Competition, he is not only excited about gaining experience in the field of mediation but also about getting in contact with other teams from all over the world. When he participated in the first historical moot court, he was able to work on his negotiation and communication techniques right in the courtroom. He looks forward to working on these skills even more at the 19th ICC Mediation Competition and to expanding his horizons during his time with the team in Paris.

Klara Zimmermann is a second-year student in intercultural business studies at the University of Marburg. Following a transformational semester in Norway, immersed in a diverse cultural milieu, she has cultivated a keen interest in intercultural dynamics and conflict resolution. Active participation in a debate club served as a catalyst, nurturing a profound fascination with the intricacies of negotiation and mediation. This passion aligns perfectly with the ICC Mediation Competition, where she sees an opportunity to apply these skills in a real-world context. Her eagerness to explore diverse perspectives and contribute positively to conflict resolution drives her interest in participating in this competition.

The Coaches

for the Marburg Team for the 19th ICC Mediation Competition 2023/24 are Jakob Krauß and Anastasia Molchanova.

Jakob Krauß, 19 years old, studies law in his third semester at the University of Marburg. He participated in the 18th ICC Mediation Competition. Especially having met people from different cultural backgrounds in the Competition has inspired him to volunteer in the IBA-VIAC Mediation & Negotiation Competition in Vienna to broaden his mind regarding mediation. He is looking forward to supporting the next team on their way through the challenges of the Mediation Competition.

Anastasia Molchanova is a University of Marburg alumna who participated in ICC Mediation Competition (2016) during her law studies. Anastasia has already coached a Competition team in 2017 as a student coach and is now looking forward to supporting the new Marburg team in the upcoming Competition. Anastasia currently works as a scientific project manager at DECHEMA e.V. and is part of the subdivision energy and climate where she contributes to Hydrogen Flagship Projects sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The focus of her work lies in regulatory assessment of different green energy solutions on federal and European level. In her free time, Anastasia loves to go hiking, taking French and dance classes, debating, and singing badly in karaoke.
