Continuous monitoring of patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease in everyday life using wearable sensors on the legs

Description

In this project, patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease undergo gait analysis over a period of several weeks. This is carried out using small sensors that are attached to the shoes. The sensors do not interfere with daily activities. However, they can provide valuable information about the patient's mobility. This information can give the doctor a better picture of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, especially over time. This means that therapy can be adjusted on the basis of better data. We hope that this will lead to better treatment of Parkinson's disease in the future.
