07.10.2021 Information on the winter semester 2021-22 #3
Dear Students,
In the week after next, the lecture period in the winter semester begins. In preparation for the lectures, we ask you again to pay attention to the following points:
- Registration for events:
As already announced in our e-mail of September 22nd, we ask you to register in MARVIN by October 14th, 2021, at the latest for all events that you would like to attend. This registration is used for face-to-face events to speed up the 3G exam; In the case of online events, it is the basis for sending event access data. The access to the Ilias will also be sent to you starting October 15th (or provided in/after the first lecture) based on your registration in MARVIN.
If you are a freshman, you are welcome to wait for the introductory / information events for your respective degree program (invitations will be sent to you separately). Afterwards, during the orientation week of the Economics Student Council in the coming week, you will learn how to use the systems and platforms of the university in order to put together your timetable and to take courses.
If you have any questions about your degree program in general, its specialisations, your options for minor subjects, etc., please contact the academic advisor responsible for you.
- 3G exams at face-to-face events:
As recently announced, the University of Marburg will be using a 3G model from the winter semester. In concrete terms, this means that only those who have been vaccinated, recovered, or tested are allowed to attend events. Before each classroom event, there is a 3G test at the entrance to the respective lecture hall. Therefore, please be on site 20-30 minutes before the start of the event and have your respective proof and photo ID ready. As the mask requirement continues to apply, please keep bringing an appropriate mask in mind. If you have been vaccinated or recovered, you can allow the respective lecturers to record this status for the respective event. In this way, you are helping us decisively in the speedy processing of the necessary controls in all subsequent dates of the relevant event.
In this context, we would also like to encourage you to take part in the survey on vaccination status sent by Vice President Korn (email from October 4th): You can find the survey here, participation is anonymous, voluntary and only takes one minute.
