We, Ferdinand, Hendrik, Julia, Leona, Lilly and Milena, are representing the University of Marburg at the 29th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court. Certainly, the upcoming challenges and practical experiences will not only bring us closer together as a team but will also allow us to surpass ourselves on a professional and personal level. Therefore, we are looking forward to the upcoming time and especially to the grand finale in Vienna.
Lilly Eberwein, 20, will start her third semester of law studies at the University of Marburg in autumn 2021. After finishing school, she made lots of international experiences during the twelve-month stay in England and strengthened her English skills. Lilly’s interest in international affairs first developed during her bilingual lessons in school. This later resulted in her participation in the European Youth Parliament. In her leisure time, Lilly enjoys cooking, baking and exercising, especially dancing, as balance to her studies. She is excited to outgrow herself, whilst working on new legal problems and thereby extending her knowledge.
Julia Ferrara is 20 years old and studies law in her fourth term at the University of Marburg. Due to its incredible diversity, she has a great passion for civil law. Her particular interest in international civil law arose through her studies of sales law. By participating in the 29th Willem C. Vis Moot Court, she is looking forward to expanding her theoretical studies in regards to practical and international elements and to adopting different perspectives. In the course of various student exchange programs and au pair stays throughout her childhood and youth as well as her participation in the debating club during school, she acquired profound language skills. Besides German and English, she is fluent in Spanish and French, and is currently learning Dutch. Julia is a music enthusiast and likes to sew in her free time.
