Studying
The 6-semester Bachelor’s degree in Economics, culminating in the award of a Bachelor of Science, is designed for students who are interested in acquiring the foundation for further studies in economics, with solid training in methods, as well as students interested in entering professional practice with a broad and solid foundation in economics, including knowledge of business administration.
The subject matter of the University of Marburg’s programme in economics focuses on analysing institutions at the center of all areas of economics, such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic policy and finance. It is supported by the School’s institution-focused research that goes back to the formation of the Research Group for the Comparison of Economic Planning Systems in 1957 and is represented by the Marburg Centre for Institutional Economics (MACIE).
