In the Marburg Politikwissenschaft / Political Science bachelor's program, you will acquire fundamental, specialized knowledge of political science and the capability for independent scientific work, including the corresponding methods.
The objective of the political science education at Marburg is that students are able to scientifically describe and analyze the connections of societal and political life in order to gain critical insights as a result.
In the developmental area of the main subject of Political Science, you have the option for individual project work and for major topic formation. The broad offering of specialization is rounded out by the possibility of choosing from a variety of secondary subjects. Furthermore, the program integrates practical profession-oriented modules such as industry-specific orientation, internship and training in key competencies.

In the developmental elective modules "Political Theory II," "Methods II," "Political System of the Federal Republic of Germany II," "Comparison of Political Systems II," "International Relationships II," "Policy and Gender Ratio II," "European Integration," "Political Economy II," "Conflicts and Conflict Settlement" or "Political Socialization," you can expand the study focal points you have chosen and connect them with a self-developed study project. The broad offering of secondary subjects is another special characteristic.
