How to Rethink Israel/Palestine?
This talk argues that many central concepts, terms, vocabularies, and notions that have governed and dominated our understanding and imagination of the politics of Israel/Palestine are losing some of their ability to capture the changes and shifts that have happened in and on Palestine/Israel during the past few decades. Thus this talk argues that there is a pressing need to rethink the politics of Israel/Palestine. More specifically, this talks seeks to examine the impact of rethinking key concepts such as national self-determination; sovereignty; historical reconciliation; settler-colonialism and Apartheid, decolonization, and federalism on developing and envisioning more inclusive and egalitarian forms of joint-dwelling in Israel/Palestine.
