Ariela Battán Horenstein is researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET) and Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities of the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. She is the director of a research group dedicated to the study of phenomenology. She also participates in an international research group of the CSIC-Spain. Ariela authored scientific publications on phenomenology of the body, emotions and cognition. During her stay at the University of Marburg (funded by the DAAD), she is going to develop a research project on the phenomenological theory of the emotions in the work of M. Merleau-Ponty.
