Dieses Sommersemester wird Dr. Bernat Torres Morales zu Gast am Institut für Philosophie sein. Während seines Aufenthalts wird er mit Prof. Ingrid Vendrell Ferran zusammenarbeiten und die Begriffe Lust und Schmerz in der Antike und Phänomenologie untersuchen. Bernat Torres Morales is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities of UIC Barcelona, where he teaches Ancient Philosophy and Philosophical Anthropology. He works in two different research groups: EIDOS, dedicated to Ancient Philosophy and especially Plato, and SARX, focusing on Embodiment in Contemporary Philosophy. Bernat has authored over 35 scientific publications, with a significant emphasis on Plato's "Philebus" and the treatment of pleasure and pain in both ancient and contemporary contexts. He has also largely worked on Political Philosophy, especially around Eric Voegelin.
