Pauline Kleingeld (Groningen): Three Arguments for Kantian Ethics 

Kant’s Groundwork contains classic defenses of universal moral principles, human dignity, and autonomy of the will, but its overall argument is considered puzzling and problematic. In this paper, I argue that the argument runs in the opposite direction from how it is usually thought to go. Kant offers an argument that is fundamentally different from leading constitutivist and value realist defenses of Kantian ethics.
