Sebastian Weste is research associate at the Department of Sociology and a member of the Center for Conflict Studies at the University of Marburg. His current research is grounded in the DFG-Projekt Doing Human Rights: How the categories of „human“ and „migrant“ are made (ir-)relevant in everyday life.

He studied Sociology at the University in Marburg. Previously, he studied Applied Social Sciences and Cultural Studies at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts as well as the FernUniversität in Hagen. During this time, he was involved in various research projects as a student and research assistant, focusing mainly on the disruption and stabilization of everyday life.
