21.04.2021 Online-Workshop: (Automated) Video Annotation

Hintergrund

Das durch das Programm „UMR vernetzt“ geförderte Projekt „Videoanalysen – methodologische und medienhistorische Aspekte der Betrachtung von Mikro-¬Interaktion“ diskutierte im Dezember 2020 in einem interdisziplinären Workshop Verfahren der Videoanalyse (historisch und disziplinübergreifend). Im Mittelpunkt des Programms standen wissenschaftliche Anwendungen sowie wissenschafts- und mediengeschichtliche Implikationen der Videoanalyse und ihrer Auswertung bzw. Interpretation in verschiedenen Kontexten mit dem Fokus auf Bewegungsinteraktion, sowie Probleme der Simultanität, Sequenzialität, Körperlichkeit, Räumlichkeit und Performativität. Dies wird nun in einzelnen Anwendungsworkshops praktisch fortgesetzt. Zum zweiten Worksshop in dieser Reihe mit Dr. James Trujillo vom Team CoSI Lab laden wir ein:

Workshop invitation video annotation with contribution from MARA academic working group 31: Interpretive Video Analysis

Dear colleagues,

we are pleased to invite you to our upcoming hands-on workshop with focus on (automated) video annotation with Dr. James Trujillo from CoSI lab Nijmegen/Netherlands.

During the workshop, we will get an overview from video recording to annotations, including motion tracking to facilitate the annotation process. We will then focus on some potential, at least partially automated, routes of analysis.
The workshop is going to be a hands-on workshop with close contact to the speaker. The workshop will be held in English.
Thanks to our great funding from MARA program UMRvernetzt for the project »Videoanalysen – methodologische und medienhistorische Aspekte der Betrachtung von Mikro-¬Interaktion«, we are happy to offer the workshop for free!
