Mechanismen epithelialer Homöostase - Dr. Rust

Using the Drosophila follicle stem cell lineage, we do investigate mechanisms of epithelial homeostasis with single cell transcriptomics and high resolution live imaging approaches. Current projects in the lab include:
- The use of single cell RNA-sequencing approaches to investigate signaling pathway functions in early epithelial development
- The investigation of epithelial tumorigenesis and associated cancer cachexia
- The analysis of non-occluding functions of septate junction proteins in epithelial development
