Im Zuge der Modernisierung unserer IT-Infrastruktur wird für eduroam und UMRnet_staff das bisherige WLAN-Verschlüsselungsverfahren WPA2 Enterprise durch den neuen, sichereren Standard WPA3 Enterprise ersetzt. Aktuelle Betriebssysteme unterstützen WPA3 vollständig, nur in Ausnahmefällen ist ein Firmware-Update oder ein Update des WLAN-Netzwerkadapters erforderlich.
