Workshop as part of PlanForSuccess@Marburg in the project "UMR divers: Diversität - Orientierung Studienerfolg" of the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts

What can you expect from this workshop?

The workshop offers space for reflection on motivation, self-confidence and self-determination in studies, includes practical exercises and an open exchange with all participants from different countries.

The main topics are:

- How can I recognize my own talents and competencies?

- What new skills have I developed through my studies here in Germany?

- How can I gain more self-confidence and security?

- What do I need to stay motivated and successfully complete my studies?

- How can I see challenges as opportunities for growth and development?

Speaker:

Gabriela Varela Lopez

Graduate psychopedagogue with migration experience

Gabriela Varela Lopez was born in Argentina and has lived in Freiburg for more than 11 years. For a long time after her transoceanic move, she felt that her motivation and self-confidence had been lost. The daily challenges, the emotional swings and the cultural differences overwhelmed her: "I tried and tried and still I kept thinking: I am not enough, I will never make it".

Do you know that feeling too? That's why we are meeting!
We will exchange ideas in a safe space, reflect, do practical exercises and learn from each other how we can gain more self-confidence, motivation and joy for our studies.

In this workshop we will speak slowly and simply so that everyone can understand the essentials. Don't worry.

Please bring curiosity, openness and a desire to share.
