Dr. Irem Aki from the Center for Conflict Studies had a very interesting Interview with the Rosa Luxembung Stiftung about the topic of the Kurdish conflict and peacebuilding in Turkey. Under the title “Achieving Peace through an Intersectional Lens - Peacebuilding in Turkey cannot afford to dispense with the contributions of queer Kurdish politics” Irem Aki spoke about the question – what this has to do with gender and queer politics. Also, she explained why an intersectional Kurdish-queer perspective is crucial for sustainable peace processes in Turkey.
