28.03.2022 Welcome at the Center for Conflict Studies, Johanna Kocks!

We are welcoming Johanna Kocks at the Center for Conflict Studies. Since March she is working as a Research Fellow in the team of Prof. Dr. Felix Anderl.

Before joining the Center for Conflict Studies, Johanna Kocks studied the M.A. International Studies/ Peace and Conflict Studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, where she primarily dealt with transnational feminisms and critical perspectives on development policies. She had a direct exchange with the Universitc of Toronto, with focus on Black feminism and indigenous studies. In her B.A. she studied political sciences also at the Goethe University.

Her research interests are focused on postcolonial perspectives, possibilities of emancipatory knowledge production and the exchange between activist and academic theory and practice.
