The Research Center "Transformations of Political Violence" (TraCe) is an interdisciplinary research network of five Hessian research Institutions: The Peace Research Institute Frankfurt, the Goethe University Frankfurt, the Justus Liebig University Giessen, the Philipps University Marburg and the Technical University of Darmstadt. Every winter term, the research center organizes the TraCe lecture series. The organization and venue will rotate among the partner institutions. This Year's Lecture Series “Perspectives on Violence in the 21st Century” takes place in Marburg.
In the winter semester 2022/2023, the TraCe lecture series will provide an overview of research on political violence from a wide range of disciplinary, methodological, and political perspectives. Every Tuesday afternoon, internationally renowned researchers present their work and report on their research projects. The lecture series will be held in person and in English. A video recording will be made available afterwards. Please consult the TraCe-Website for further information and the whole program.
The lecture series is organized by Felix Anderl and Mariel Reiss of the Center for Conflict Studies
