Are you looking for scholarly literature from linguistics and literary studies? If so, you should take a look at the MLA International Bibliography. It is the most important bibliography on literature, linguistics (including art and sign languages) and folkloristics of all modern philologies. Over 6,000 journals and other collective works are regularly reviewed for articles that fall within the bibliography’s scope. In this workshop, you will learn more about the MLA database and its main functions. Afterwards, you can try out the database yourself.
Aims:
After the workshop, you will be able to ...
- name the main functionalities of the MLA database,
- formulate search queries using the advanced search and the thesaurus and
- create complex search queries with Boolean operators.
