Studying

At Marburg, there is no separate bachelor degree in Islamic Studies; however, it forms part of the BA degree Middle Eastern Studies. There’s also a separate master’s program for Islamic Studies. A degree in Islamic Studies at Marburg offers a varied program. We have an academic focus on Islam and the societies and cultures influenced by Islam in the Near and Middle East and in Europe. We approach this subject in a conceptual and empirical way through teaching and researching historical and contemporary topics.
