12.01.2021 Call for Applications: Tenure Track Professorship in Postcolonial/ Colonial Studies Maghreb
The Philipps-Universität Marburg invites applications for a Tenure Track Professorship in Postcolonial/ Colonial Studies Maghreb (W1 Tenure Track to W2) to be filled at the earliest possible date. This professorship is funded by the Tenure Track Program of the German Federal Government and the Federal States and is initially limited to six years.
The professorship “Postcolonial / Colonial Studies” focuses on the history and the diverse social, political and economic effects of the (de-and neo-) colonization of the Maghreb region. The successful applicant actively participates in the establishment of the Merian Center for Advanced Studies in the Maghreb (MECAM). Depending on the candidate's profile, the professorship will be located at Faculty of Social Sciences and Philosophy or History and Cultural Studies, and it is connected to the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS).
