Edition and Translation with Commentary of the Regimen Sanitatis or ʻBook of Pearlsʼ by ʿAlī ibn Sahl Rabban aṭ-Ṭabarī (d. after 240/855)

The project deals with the earliest extant book in the Arabic language on general hygiene. The text is also important because of its explicit inclusion not only of Greek but also Indian and ‚Babylonian‘ sources; moreover, it was written for educated laymen (and not for medical professionals).
