You must register for all exams.
This includes exams held throughout the semester (e.g. during seminars). The dates for registration will be announced in good time on the Examinations Office's website (see Examinations).
Registration for and withdrawal from all Bachelor's exams as well as those for MA Near and Middle Eastern Politics and Economics is available for students from these degree programmes only in the self-service area on the LSF/QIS portal >>> here.
After registering for an exam, please make sure that it has been processed successfully. Objections at a later stage shall not be considered. If you sit an exam that you have not registered for, it will not be marked.

Those enrolled in other CNMS master's courses as well as those who minor in MA Near and Middle Eastern Politics and Economics must register by signing the lists that circulate in lectures during the registration period.

The dates for collecting the PIN/TAN list required for online registration will be announced on the examinations office's website (see Examinations).

If you register for an exam but fail to sit it, you will receive a grade of "unsatisfactory" unless you can provide compelling grounds for your absence (such as illnesses for which you have doctor's report or, in the event of repeat cases, an official medical certificate).
The report or medical certificate must be promptly submitted to the examinations office together with the application for withdrawal. An accepted withdrawal will be noted down in the mark sheet as RAN ("Rücktritt anerkannt", or withdrawal accepted).

Results are usually available for collection from Mrs. Michaelis-Braun (Room 00A33) in the examinations office.
If your studies involve a major in another department, you will need to pick up your certificates in your respective examinations office.Inhalt ausklappen Inhalt einklappen Where can I get my transcript of records?
Have you checked the system (QIS/LSF) to see whether all of your transcripts have been recorded yet? If so, there shouldn't be a problem!
If transcripts are missing, please contact the department(s) in question to make sure that the grade(s) and transcript of records are sent to you as soon as possible.

Grades acquired while studying abroad are converted according to the grade conversion table used in Department 10.

The examinations office (Department 10) requests that you complete the application for approval form in full on your computer (using Acrobat, Preview, Okular, etc.), collect signatures from your supervisors and submit the application in person to the examinations office during office hours.
