13.10.2022 SHARINPEACE presented at DAAD Meeting
Thematic Monitoring for Erasmus+ Projects in Bonn, Germany, 12./13.10.2022
The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD, German Academic Exchange Service) as the National Agency (NA) for Erasmus+ Higher Education Cooperation regularly invites all projects coordinated by German higher education institutions to get to know each other and to share experiences and ideas. On 12. and 13. October 2022, the latest of such meetings took place. Representatives of new and already running Erasmus+ projects in the areas of Strategic Partnerships and Cooperation Partnerships met in Bonn for learning about each other’s projects and to have an exchange.
Project coordinator Stéphane Voell presented the project "Simulating Human Rights in Peacebuilding (SHARINPEACE)" to colleagues from other universities in a poster exhibition. In the discussion it became clear that the embedding of simulations in many study programs in Germany is not always without challenges. Voell was able to discuss business games in teaching intensively with colleagues and explain the special approach of the simulation in SHARINPEACE.
The event also offered important insights, for example into the topic of data protection and data storage or open access and the associated licensing issues. Voell could also speak directly with the contact persons at the DAAD about administrative issues in the context of SHARINPEACE.
The successful workshop in Bonn was the first face-to-face meeting of the NA DAAD for the currently funded projects. It showed that the advantages of a direct on-site meeting with lecturers, coffee breaks and dinners is difficult to replace with online formats.
