Partners
The partners have been chosen carefully and purposefully to represent different European regions with mutually enriching profiles and experiences regarding peace and conflict studies as well as related subject areas (e.g. migration studies). At the same time, the partners are all mid-size universities (around 10-25.000 students) with a strong focus on research, anchored mostly in regions that are not too cosmopolitan. They therefore offer a realistic insight into the respective national and regional specifics.
The consortium shares a particularly strong commitment to social and regional responsibility as well as a strong engagement in international collaboration. Thematically, the network is dedicated to strengthening peace, solidarity and human rights within Europe and beyond - a key motive for founding the EU. The guiding principle of the consortium is the social responsibility of higher education on regional, national and international level to provide new impulses to strengthen European values and to contribute to solutions of contemporary social challenges.
The project partners of the consortium already form an expanding network of higher education institutions (HEI) that wish to intensify their collaboration further. After successful implementation of SHARINPEACE, the partners aim to intensify efforts of joint curriculum design by applying for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Programme (EMJM).
