Research
Prof. Kling conducts research in various areas of civil law and commercial law. His research focuses mainly on European and German competition law, public procurement law and unfair competition law. In addition, he deals with related areas of corporate and commercial law, especially with corporate law issues (stock corporation law, limited liability company law, cooperative law), as well as regulatory complexes under European law (European fundamental freedoms, competition rules), also with international commercial law (GATT, GATS), and with energy-related competition law issues. In addition, Prof. Kling considers issues of medical and pharmaceutical law as well as insurance company law from the perspective of competition law. Within general civil law, his main areas of interest are contract law and property law.
