26.08.2021 Information on the winter term at the School of Business and Economics #1
Dear students,
We hope that you are well and that you can use the lecture-free period to recover a little from the summer semester and to recharge your batteries for the upcoming winter semester.
Since August 16, the online course catalogue has been activated in MARVIN, i.e., most courses can now be booked in MARVIN. This e-mail is intended to help you plan your course of studies in the winter semester and also your return to Marburg in good time.
Although the now familiar hygiene and distance rules still apply, Philipps-Universität is planning to return to face-to-face teaching along the university's step-by-step concept. Accordingly, in the winter semester the vast majority of courses of the School of Business and Economics will be offered in attendance. As usual, the tab "Parallel Groups/Dates" of a course in MARVIN serves as a preliminary indicator of which courses will be held in attendance and which online: If you see a room booking there, a course will be held in attendance or hybrid, if applicable. Please note, however, that some schedules (e.g. seminars) have not yet been completed. For further information, please read the course descriptions in MARVIN or check the websites of the research groups. Of course, pandemic-related changes are still possible. We will keep you informed of all relevant changes in the coming weeks until the start of the semester.
Please register in MARVIN by October 14, 2021 for courses you would like to take in the winter semester. Special registration deadlines may apply for many seminars and some other courses. You will find this information in MARVIN as well (field "Periods" on the right on the start page of a course) or on the websites of the research groups.
The lecture period itself will then start on October 18, 2021 and end on February 18, 2022. Our first exam period will take place from February 21 to March 4, the second exam period from March 18 to 31. You can already view the exam schedules for the winter semester on the websites of the examination office.
Please continue to observe the current information and rules of the University of Marburg regarding the corona situation, which you may find here: www.uni-marburg.de/corona.
Of course, we are also still here for you and are very happy to answer questions - and of course to receive suggestions. We look forward to seeing you in person again in Marburg in the winter semester.
Kind regards,
Prof. Dr. Torsten Wulf, Dr. Regine Reck und Kai Brenneke
