14.10.2020 Information on the winter term at the School of Business and Economics #2
Dear students,
We hope that the second phase of the exams, which is currently underway, has started successfully for you and that you will remain healthy.
As announced, we are sending you the second e-mail today to inform you about the status of our plans for the winter term 2020/21. Similar to the summer semester, we are planning to conduct a large part of the teaching program online in winter as well. At the same time, however, some modules are also to take place at least partially in attendance (see our last e-mail).
Regardless of whether a course is offered online or in attendance, MARVIN is the central portal for initial contact between the lecturers and you, the students. Therefore, we ask you to register for all modules you wish to attend in MARVIN by October 29th, 2020 at the latest. If you are not sure whether you want to attend a module, it is advisable to take that module first. You can always cancel your registration afterwards.
For each module that you have taken, you will receive an e-mail from MARVIN after Friday, October 31st, from the corresponding teachers, informing you of the access links to the course material in ILIAS and the access links to possible online courses. Your student e-mail address stored in MARVIN will be used for this purpose; please check this mailbox particularly regularly at the beginning of the semester.
For those courses that are expected to take place (in whole or in part) in attendance, special requirements will apply with regard to infection control. Since these measures will take time, especially at the beginning/admission to the courses, you should be on site 30-45min before the start of a lecture. An initial overview of generally applicable rules of conduct can be found here; however, please be sure to check the individual information of the lecutures you are attending.
As of this week, all of you from the second and higher semesters have received information on how to change to the current versions of the study regulations for your program of study (if an update to WS20/21 has come into effect in your program of study). If you wish to change to the latest version, please submit your application well in advance of the start of the semester. In principle, however, it is also possible to change at a later date.
The lecture period starts on Nov. 2nd, 2020 and ends on February 12th, 2021, the examination phase follows from Febr. 13th to 27th. The usual examination schedules can already be found on the websites of the examination office.
Finally once again an overview of important links:
