15.04.2024 MAGKS PhD Seminar in Economics held at Marburg Castle
The inter-university doctoral seminar in economics offered by the universities of Marburg, Aachen, Gießen, Göttingen, Kassel and Siegen (plus Düsseldorf and Braunschweig), in short ‘MAGKS’, took place from on 21 and 22 March 2024 in a room at Marburg Castle.
The 19 PhD students and the four professors attended presentations on variety of research topics and discussed their content and methods in depth. Topics covered included the energy crisis, domestic violence in South America, and the impact of international capital flows on economic inequality.
In September 2024, the MAGKS PhD Seminar will be offered again, at its usual venue, Schloss Rauischholzhausen near Marburg, which is the conference centre of the University of Gießen.
