"The ability to translate data into information and finally into recommendations for action already fascinated me during my empirical bachelor thesis at the University of Regensburg. I therefore took the Quantitative Methods in Empirical Finance module with the aim of expanding my knowledge in this field. The bridge between theory and practice was built in this course with application-oriented examples and we independently applied the methods to practical questions with the help of the data analysis tool Stata. All in all, the module has trained my understanding of complex financial interrelationships and provided me with useful skills that I like to use in my doctoral project."
