Master's program

The following tables provide an overview of the Master modules we offer in accordance with the new and old examination regulations.

In each semester, a module consists of: 1. a mandatory lecture and 2. a mandatory elective lecture or tutorial.

Module TIM a

• Variant 1: Lecture SMTI + Lecture IPM (TIM a1; lecture variant)
• Variant 2: Lecture SMTI + Exercise SMTI (TIM a2; study variant)

Module TIM b

• Variant 1: Lecture IMGP + Lecture DLIM (TIM b1; lecture variant)
• Variant 2: Lecture IMGP + Exercise IMGP (TIM b2, study variant)

Winter term	Summer term

Variant 1 (TIM a1, TIM b1) is examined in the form of a 120-minute final module examination. The time can be variably divided between the two examinations. Both exams must be passed.

Variant 2 (TIM a2, TIM b2) will be examined in the form of a 60-minute examination and a tutorial during the semester (thesis paper + exercise visit). Both partial performances of this module variant must be passed independently of each other. The module grade results from the arithmetic mean of the two partial performances. 

If you plan to write your master thesis at the research group for Technology and Innovation Management, the successful participation in two advanced modules (12 LP) in the field of “SBWL” Technology and Innovation Management is mandatory. The project seminar is also credited as an “SBWL” in-depth module.
