Research

We follow these guidelines in our research:

• Our research is mainly pure research. In other words, we are primarily interested in obtaining theoretical results and not so much in solving practical problems of companies. For example, we are interested in discovering the implicit economic assumptions of regression models and to analyze whether these assumptions are realistic. Whether it is possible to make trading gains with improved regression models is not our focus.
• Our research is always based on theoretical models that are applied by means of calibration or simulation. Purely empirical models (i.e., model without theoretical background) are outside of our research approach.
