EXIST-Women 2024

Women (sometimes) found companies differently than men: we want to give space to this topic and thus contribute to a more diverse and balanced corporate world. On these pages, we provide more information about special funding opportunities or events. 

The Mafex is pleased to announce that it has received approval for EXIST-Women from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. This gave the opportunity to launch the Female Entrepreneurship Incubator (FEIN) at the Mafex in January 2024, which provides targeted support for women at Philipps-Universität Marburg who are interested in starting their own business. The low-threshold EXIST-Women start-up scholarship is specially designed for talented women who want to turn their innovative business ideas into reality. 
A two-month scholarship offers not only financial support to cover living expenses, but also a material budget. 10 scholarship holders receive the promised 2,000 euros for material resources and scholarship money from January 2024. Each founder is accompanied by an experienced mentor.

DynaPore

DynaPore offers a rapid bio-to-digital information conversion for label-free diagnostics.

valueBell

The "valueBell" project stands for the strengthening of female networking and community in the healthcare sector. Using the doorbell function ("bell"), the app enables users to network and attend events organised by existing organisations for the advancement of women. This creates valuable friendships and professional opportunities that promote women's self-realisation.

"EXIST-women offers me comprehensive support in the realisation of my project. The financial support enables me to engage experts in areas in which I have less experience. Coaching and numerous networking opportunities have provided me with a valuable platform to get in touch with many interesting people and learn from each other. FinK 

FinK offers a concept that works in a similar way to the classic first aid kit. A kit containing the most important tools for stabilisation in mental health emergencies and a kind of first aid course in which we teach what you need to know about mental health first aid and how to use the kit.
