Prof. Dr. Helmut Leipold passed away on July 8, 2020. Helmut Leipold was professor em. at the School of Business & Economics and an associated member of the Marburg Centre for Institutional Economics. He conducted research in the area of Institutional Economics and contributed in particular to the analysis of the relation between the economic and political systems. His special interest was the comparative analysis of the cultural and religious origins of different economic, political and legal orders. Our deep sympathy is with his family.
