Bernhard Nietert is a member of the Accounting and Finance Group and professor for Finance and Banking. His research interests comprise arbitrage and asset pricing theory (with a special focus on business valuation), portfolio selection theory, and Islamic Finance. He contributes to institutional economics by making suggestions how to align the regulation in the fields of Hedge Accounting, Islamic Finance, and banking supervision with findings from modern financial theory.
