Marc Steffen Rapp is professor of Business Adminstration. He is member of the Accounting and Finance Group and serves as the head of the Management Accounting Research Group (MARG). His research interests comprise all aspects of corporate governance, management accounting and corporate finance. He is particularly interested in the interrelation between regulation, ownership concentration, management incentives, and corporate behavior. He is also interested in the effect of taxation upon firm values and corporate financing decisions.

Marc Steffen Rapp is affiliated with and a part of the Nordic Finance and the Good Society research network organized and hosted by the Center for Corporate Governance at Copenhagen Business School. Previously, he has severed as an academic co-director of the Center for Corporate Governance (CCG) at HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management.

He regularly teaches in executive education programs and was involved in consulting projects ranging from projects with governments, large financial institutions, leading management consulting firms to court opinions.
