University cooperation and exchange programs at the Philipps-Universität Marburg
The Philipps-Universität maintains cooperations with partner universities across the globe through Erasmus+ Worldwide, bilateral cooperations with partner universities, State of Hesse programs and the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). Students do not face additional tuition fees and moreover students can apply for scholarships (e.g. DAAD Promos, Auslandsbafög).
The International Office, Department VI A 3 - Study and Internship Abroad (Outside EU), will be glad to advise on the various opportunities of a stay abroad in the context of these programs or as a freemover (application procedure, deadlines, scholarships). For academic questions and recognition requests, contact the International Student Advisory Service and the ECTS coordinator of the School of Business and Economics.

Students have the possibility to study at one of over 80 partner universities across the globe. The application deadline is November 30 of each year. Further information can be found on the website

With Erasmus+, you can study or do an internship outside the EU at partner universities in the Near and the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Central Asia, and the Western Balkans. The Erasmus+ program offers comprehensive support and advisory services, a mobility grant and travel allowance, exemption from tuition fees at the partner university, and recognition of credits.

Programs of the State of Hessen promote stays abroad in Australia or the USA. These programs enable students from Hessen's universities to study (exemption from tuition fees) for one semester at one of the partner universities in Queensland (application deadline June 1), Massachusetts, or Wisconsin (application deadline November 15).

The International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), offers students to study at one of over 300 locations worldwide. The application period for the ISEP program ends on November 30th (start of the winter semester) and May 30th (start of the summer semester) of each year.
