Research

Our research focuses on the emergence, consolidation, transformation of social inequalities and patterns of violence as well as the ways of dealing with them. We look at dynamics of norm-building and gendered power structures in Germany, and have a strong interest in examining social change in Latin America. With our research, we seek to contribute to critical and often comparative research on peace processes, transitional justice, collective memory and conflict transformation. Our research practice is informed critical theory and decolonial and discrimination-sensitive approaches.
