Graduates of the one-year M.A. in Applied Methods of Social Research are equipped with essential skills in both qualitative and quantitative research, preparing them for diverse career opportunities. The program’s focus on real-world application of research methods, combined with training in tools like R and data visualization, enables graduates to address complex social and political issues.

Career prospects include:

1.    Policy-Making and Government: Roles in policy analysis, development, and public administration. 

2.    International Organizations and NGOs: Research or project management positions in global organizations or NGOs. 

3.    Private Sector and Consultancy: Social and political research, data analysis, and consulting roles. 

4.    Data Science and Social Research: Data analysis positions, utilizing expertise in computational social sciences and network analysis.

5.    Research and Academia: Positions at universities, research institutes, or further study through PhD programs. 

Working in Germany after graduation

International graduates can remain in Germany for up to 18 months to seek employment, with the option to convert the 'job seeker's visa' into a work visa upon securing a relevant job.
