Admission Requirements

General Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a comparable foreign degree with a final grade of at least 2.7 (German grading system). If the final degree is not available by the application deadline, provisional enrollment may be allowed. For applicants with a Bachelor's degree comprising 180 ECTS credits, proof must be provided for at least 80% of the required credits, along with an average grade based on completed module exams. Provisional enrollment is conditional upon the submission of the final degree certificate by the end of the first semester (by the end of the lecture period of the first semester, typically September 30 for a winter semester start).

Social Science Methods Requirement

Applicants must have completed at least 10 ECTS credits in social science methods, including at least 5 ECTS credits in quantitative methods and/or statistics.

English Language Proficiency

A sufficient level of English proficiency is required (at least C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), as the program is taught entirely in English. Please find here all information on how to proof your English language proficency.

The Examination Committee will decide on the equivalency of the previous degree, the fulfillment of the required credits, and any other eligibility issues.
