Computational Modelling of Behaviour (Dr. Dominik Deffner)
Welcome to the website of the "Computational Modelling of Behaviour" research group at the Department of Psychology (Head: Prof. Dr. Dominik Deffner). Our work combines dynamic group experiments, (cultural) evolution, and field research with statistics and computational modelling. We investigate the cognitive processes and social as well as cultural dynamics that enable individuals and collectives to adapt to changing and uncertain environments. Moreover, we develop new statistical methods and causal-inference workflows, especially for cross-cultural research.
Our work is just getting started. In the future, you will find more information here about our team, teaching, possible thesis topics, and an overview of the group's publications.
