By car:

From the city highway, take the first exit (Marburg-Süd). Turn right at the traffic light, then drive straight and turn right at the second traffic light toward Marburg. Follow the main road. You will then come to a traffic light where you can only turn left or right. Here, turn left while staying in the right lane and then turn right at the next traffic light (before the ARAL gas station). You will find yourself on Frankfurter Straße. Now, continue driving straight until you see the department building (red sandstone). Here, do not make a slight left but rather keep driving straight until you see the courtyard entrance on your left.

Coming from the Marburg-Mitte exit on the city highway: At the first traffic light, turn right towards the city center and stay in the left lane. When you come to the traffic light where you can only turn right or left (you can see the old university and drive straight over the Weidenhäuser Bridge), turn left. You will find yourself on Universitätsstraße. At the next traffic light, get in the left turning lane and turn onto Gutenbergstraße. After approx. 200 meters, you will see the faculty building (red sandstone). The courtyard entrance is located on the opposite side (diagonally) of the building. In order to get there, take a left before the building, then turn right. The courtyard entrance is located a few meters down the road.
By train:
Take the train to Marburg Hauptbahnhof (main railway station), and not the smaller Südbahnhof (south railway station). From there, you can take bus lines 1, 2, 5 or 6. Get off at Gutenbergstraße and turn left on Gutenbergstraße. After approx. 200 meters, you will see the department building (red sandstone).

By plane:
The closest major airport is Frankfurt/Main. From there, trains depart for Marburg every hour between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The train ride takes about one hour.
Within the city:
From the north: Take bus lines 1, 2, 5 and 6 to the Gutenbergstraße stop
From the south: Take bus lines 1 through 7 to the Gutenbergstraße stop
