I am a PhD candidate since November under the supervision of Dr. Grotheer at the Educational Neuroscience Department. In the past I have completed both my Bachelor and Master studies in Psychology and Neurosciences respectively at the University of Granada (Spain). For my Master thesis I have collaborated with the Psychobiology department researching a psychopharmacological approach to frustration on a rodent model.

For my PhD thesis I will be working on the neural bases of numerical skills in early childhood. These play an important role in our modern, mostly industrial, societies and yet are not evolutionary acquired. Thus, the intriguing question arises regarding the emergence of areas tuned up to numerical relationships. More specifically, through fMRI and tractography experiments we will be aiming to tackle these questions and observe how neurological patterns vary with age and experience.
