EFFECT-Study
Various studies have shown that psychotherapy is effective in treating mental illnesses such as depression and leads to a reduction in depressive symptoms. Various factors can influence the success of treatment, one of which is the number of therapy sessions per week. This study aims to investigate whether the number of therapy sessions per week (1 session vs. 2 sessions) can improve the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression.
Additionally, research indicates that individual expectations can influence behavior and well-being and may impact therapy outcomes. Therefore, this study also aims to explore new and innovative expectation-focused therapeutic techniques within the framework of cognitive behavioral therapy.
