Examinations in the First State Examination for Teaching at Gymnasiums

(Information on the Psychology Offer)

In the First State Examination, you are required to take exams in the EGL area. These consists of a 4-hour written exam and an oral examination. The framework guidelines for the exams are set by the Hessian Teacher Training Academy.

In psychology, the exams are conducted by various examiners. It is possible to take both oral and written exams in psychology. However, there are only a limited number of examination slots available. 

If you would like to take the First State Examination in EGL Psychology, you can register for it via the ILIAS course "Examinations EGL Psychology in the First State Examination"/ "Prüfungen EGL Psychologie im ersten Staatsexamen".

You can join the ILIAS folder directly (no password required) and then sign up through the booking pool. Once registered, your spot is confirmed - no additional signature from us is necessary.
