Junior Research Group - Variability in Language Use
Language is our central means of communication. It enables us to interact with others, to share thoughts and feelings, and to preserve information. Language and its use are characterized by a high degree of variability, visible at all linguistic levels. This variability is particularly evident when considering individual differences between language users.
The junior research group Variability in Language Use investigates the origins and consequences of this variability. The group is part of the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas and is funded by the Young Faculty Program at Philipps University Marburg.
